Welcome to SF-Universe.com!

Hello everyone! My name is Mark and this site is SF-Universe.com. SF in this case stands for speculative fiction so all genres are covered here from science fiction, fantasy, gothic / horror and anime.

My purpose in creating this site is to give everyone a place online to get together like a convention. I've made a lot of friends at cons. So our forums are meant to be kind of like an online convention.

The front end of the site will be more along the lines of an online magazine. We have areas for articles, interviews and columns. We also have a media area for documents, audio, video & pictures. If you have your own fan site then please add it to our links area. We have a wiki that I hope to start adding info to it soon. We have a classifieds area going up in April.

Something nice about our forums is it's ability to support podcasts.

The forums are meant to be a community but we do have the ability to make forums private. We have a special offer for any groups without their own web site or forums. we will give you a forum within the groups area and we are also willing to host your groups site. This is at no cost and never will have any costs attached to it. No pop up advertising. In fact no advertising within your site at all. the only thing we ask is a reciprocal link back to our main site from your main page and links area. As long as your groups site is non profit then we will continue to host it for free. If you already have your own domain that is not a problem and you could get email accounts within your domain.

The forums would be within our main forum so that your members can see everything else there is to see within the site.

This site is for all fans of any of the genres. For those that are into costuming, reenacting, reb faires, dressing up in costume for any occasion or even for no reason we have a costuming area and we also have our sister site at www.getincharacter.com. Just go to the forums there and register.

We are looking for people to be a part of the site by creating content, articles or anything else you wish to do. We are a family friendly site. If you are interested in contributing to the site then contact me Mark. mark@sf-universe.com.
